Dereck Elkins

Self disciplined, dedicated, competitive, and a great Track and Cross Country Runner. Having completed high school in 2018 winning the 1 mile State Championship (4:13) and the Texas Relays 1 mile (4:11) is just a part of his drive. He is well liked, fun. and he comes off as laid back but he is far from it. He gets what is important done. He completed high school in the top 10% academically, and was individually recognized during the graduation. Additionally, he attained a "Full" scholarship to Texas State University. He went on to Ole Miss, his big dream for college and has done extremely well there.
